What Parts of the Series Seem Worthless to you?

What I can think of is Freeza surviving from Gokuu and the destruction of Namek and returning as Mecha Freeza.
I find it ruined the entire epic Gokuu vs. Freeza legacy.
Also, the whole thing with Oob being the next Gokuu and him leaving everyone to train him was pretty lame and briefly-thought up-and-put-in-the-story, in my opinion.

What about you?

I don't dislike Dragon Ball (at least not as entertainment, I don't like debating it anymore), but anything past Freeza was pointless, if I'm being honest... Hell, even continuing past the 23rd was already pushing it.

End of Z.
Piccolo vs. 2nd form Freeza too, as the guy just transformed again and healed himself, rendering the previous battle completely pointless.
Goku vs. Pure Boo also felt worthless, as I just felt they should have fused and ended it right there.

Don't undestand people's hate for post-Frieza Saga content. People make him sound like he was so great and such. While he was a great villian in the series, he wasn't the only good villian and IMO, Perfect Cell is a better villian then him. The Frieza Saga was my favourite but it wasn't because of Frieza himself.

Can't really think of anything I really don't like in the series. The Pilaf Arc was rather slow and Vegeta in the Buu Saga was a total mess.

Though I will have to say that I have an intense disliking for almost everything post-2007 in the series.

Cell can't even measure up to Piccolo Daimao or Villain Vegeta, much less Freeza, who I believe to be the best villain in DB, and one of the best villains I've seen in Shonen series.

As for the content after the series ended, the only material I hate are Kai, and of course, Evolution.

^ In your opinion.

Personally, I didn't find Frieza to be all that special. People overrate the hell out of him IMO. But hey, that's just me.

Bringing Freeza back in and of itself dampened the epic struggle of the Z-Fighters, particularly Goku, to overcome him. Feeding him to put over Trunks and the Future Androids completely made the entire battle on Namek look insignificant. That'd be like if Stone Cold struggled for a whole year to finally beat the McMahon Regime at Wrestlemania, and the latter came back the next night to get squashed by The Rock who came to warn Stone Cold about the Spirit Squad, who are way stronger than The Rock.

I'd have found a different method of showing how powerful the new antagonists would be than to throw the previous one under the bus.

Mecha Freeza was kind of unnecessary. He seemed a little too crazy for that point in the series. Oh well. I'd rather have Cold himself drop in to get killed whoever.

I got no problem with what Trunks did to Frieza. You need to build up the Saga somehow. If that means giving the previous saga villian the shaft, then so be it.

Just think about it.

- 23rd TB Humans are capable of beating Piccolo Daimyo on their own
- Raditz tanked Piccolo Jr's blast and proceeded to mock him after
- Vegeta and Nappa quite literally grow Raditz level fighters from the ground
- We find out very early in the Namek Arc that Vegeta is fodder to a lot of people on that planet
- Goku passively mentions Cell in the Buu Saga like he's an Afterthought

I don't see the big problem here.

Your first line applies to Kai 100%.

Yes. It's milking, but it's good milking since they remove most of the filler and tries to stay true to the manga.

... I'm not going to rant too much about it since this neither is the place nor the time for it. Also, you wouldn't change your mind whatever I say.

The only parts I would get rid of, aren't in the manga. Only anime filler. Like the part where Gohan is training to live in the wild, meeting those orphans and that robot. Well ok, the robot bit was kinda cool. Also, Bulma's screen time on Namek. Eff that.

All of the scenes with Oolong and the cat. First of all I've never laughed at them, they're not funny. And they're extremely annoying especially the loud mouth pig. They slow things down and make you use the fast forward button.

Same with Bulma on Namek, yes.

Well, all filler is worthless. That's why it is called filler.
